MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547083275 A) filed by Gea Westfalia Separator Group Gmbh, Oelde, Germany, on Sept. 2, for 'separator disc, combination of separator disc stack and distributor, and centrifuge.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a separator disc (8) for a centrifuge, in particular for a separator. The separator disc (8) is designed to be arranged in a separator disc stack in the interior of a drum (4) of the centrifuge in order to clarify or separate a material mixture, wherein the separator disc (8) has a truncated cone shell-like main part, with an inner circumference and an outer circumference, an inner surface, an outer surface, and at least one or more spacing elements (81), wherein one or more hollow protrusions (83) are formed on the truncated cone shell-like main part, said hollow protrusions having a greater axial extension than the spacing element (81) so that, in a separator disc stack, the hollow protrusions (83) of adjacent separator discs (8) can engage into one another in a form-fitting manner."
