MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517053492 A) filed by Radiant Matter Ltd., London, on June 2, for 'sequins and method of manufacturing sequins.'

Inventor(s) include Brunato, Elissa; and Williams, Cyan.

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A membrane (2000a, 2000b) formed of a self-assembled microstructure of anisotropic nanocrystals is described. The membrane (2000a, 2000b) has an upper surface (2011), a lower surface (2010), a centroid (2008) and a perimeter (2009). In a first type of membrane (2000a), around a majority of the perimeter (2009) the membrane (2000a) curves back (2013) on itself. A second type of membrane (2000b) is shaped such that moving from the upper surface (2011) to the lower surface (2010) around any point on the perimeter (2009), a minimum radius of curvature (rmin) is at least 0. 1 times the thickness of the membrane (2000b) at the centroid (2008)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 01, 2023, under International application No.PCT/GB2023/053113.
