MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024163 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'sewage pipeline protection assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Shubhnit Soni; Vishal Kumar; Syed Mohd Arif; Vineet Pandey; and Kaushik Bharti.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sewage pipeline protection assistive device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 developed to be positioned inside a manhole of a water sewage pipeline, an expandable ring shaped structure 2 installed with the body 1 that is designed for accommodation of an elastic sewage pipe, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 to detect dimensions of the pipe and multiple motorized clippers 4 installed on the structure 2 that are actuated by the microcontroller to grip the pipe for securing the pipe with the pipe."
