MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321082222 A) filed by Sabiocorp, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 3, 2023, for 'shaft protector for protecting a shaft.'
Inventor(s) include Naresh Kumar Sharma; and Nitin Ashok Kand.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A SHAFT [017] Shaft protector (100) protects a shaft (10) from undesired particles to overcome prior-arts where shafts are exposed to undesired particles. Shaft (10) includes a support part (10a), supported by a bracket arrangement (20), and an extended part (10b), extends-out from the bracket arrangement (20). Shaft protector (100) includes a front cover (30), a middle cover (40) and graphite bushes (50). Front cover (30) encloses extended part (10b) and connected with bracket arrangement (20). Middle cover (40) includes an upper cover (40a) and a lower cover (40b) which is connected by fasteners (40c) to form a closure. Upper cover (40a) and lower cover (40b) are connected to bracket arrangement (20). Closure covers support part (10a). Middle cover (40) is defined with an opening (40d) to inject lubricant in solid state. Graphite bushes (50) are defined between the shaft (10) and the bracket arrangement (20)."
