MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014316 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'shaving assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Tanuj Sharma; Dr. Rohit Sharma; and Pranati Prakash.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A shaving assistive device, comprises of an elongated body 1 configured with a handle 4, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 installed over the body 1 to determine dimension of a hand, a motorized drawer arrangement 6 integrated with the body 1 to position the body 1, a U-shaped holding unit 7 installed on the body 1 through a motorized hinge joint 8 to position a shaving blade, a touch sensor installed within the holding unit 7 to determine positioning of the blade, plurality of pneumatic pins 9 installed within the holding unit 7 to grip the blade, a chamber 10 arranged with an electronic nozzle to dispense cream, a robotic arm 11 installed with the body 1 to position a motorized brush 12 for applying cream, a touch interactive display panel 13 for user selection, and a projection unit 14 installed with the body 1 to project laser light."
