MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517073641 A) filed by Astemo, Ltd., Tokyo, on Aug. 1, for 'shock absorber.'
Inventor(s) include Inaba Hiroshi; Hoshino Akihito; Omata Yasuhisa; Miyazaki Tomoyuki; and Ando Kazuhiko.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This shock absorber generates a damping force by imparting resistance to a working fluid. The shock absorber includes a cylinder filled with the working fluid, a piston sliding against an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, a piston rod coupled to the piston and projecting outward from the cylinder, and an elastic resin seal ring slidingly supporting an outer peripheral surface of the piston rod. At least one of the outer peripheral surface of the piston rod, the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, and the outer peripheral surface of the piston has a multi-element amorphous film with a hydrogen content of 15 at% or more."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/003741.
