MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025408 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'short circuit preventing device for high voltage overhead electrical wires.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A short circuit preventing device for high voltage overhead electrical wires, comprising a rectangular frame 1 developed to be positioned between multiple high voltage overhead electrical wires, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 mounted on the frame 1 for detecting exact location of the wire, plurality of C-shaped motorized expandable clamps 3 installed with the frame 1 for gripping the wires in a secured manner to prevent any chances of short circuit due to contact between the wires and a motorized omnidirectional wheel 4 configured with each of the clamps 3 to maneuver the frame 1 in a suitable direction to prevent the motion of the wires."
