MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517054026 A) filed by Stavro Medical, Inc., Martinez, U.S.A., on June 4, for 'single or double lumen system.'

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure provides methods and systems to improve the extracorporeal processing and treatment of blood comprising conveying a volume of blood via a first conduit of a patient to a blood chamber at a first flow rate, conveying the blood from the blood chamber through an extracorporeal therapeutic device at a second flow rate to perform an extracorporeal treatment on the blood and returning the treated blood to the blood chamber, and returning the blood from the blood chamber to the patient at a third flow rate via a second conduit, wherein the second flow rate is decoupled from both the first and third flow rates."
