MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641001279 A) filed by Srm Institute Of Science And Technology; and Easwari Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 6, for 'smart bi assistant dashboard device.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Thiruneelakandan A; and Dr. A. Umamageswari.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Business firms involved in the customer end interaction can be of:Chain Stores, where a group of retail stores are centrally owned and managed, all operating under the same brand name and selling the similar products or providing services. Eg., D-Mart, KFC etc., Big-Box Retailersor Superstores or Hypermarkets, where avery large physical retail stores occupying a massive amount of floor space (often over 50,000 square feet) and offering a huge variety of products, often combining a grocery, provisionals, jewels, furniture and home appliances. Eg. JioMart, Reliance Digital, Saravan Stores etc., These two types of business organization have fundamentally cultivated and structured organization framework with dedicated team for analysing and predicting the trends in their business operations. Whereas, the Whole Sale Stores:are large retail establishments that offer the products to consumer. Eg. Fruits, Vegetables, groceries, stationeries etc.,Such stores in the developing nations lack modern predictive intelligence infrastructure. But the digital UPI payment has revolutionized the retail sales in such a way that almost all Wholesalers, retailers and street vendors now-a-days rely on UPI sound/payment box. Similar to the UPI payment box, the project introduces a Smart Business Intelligence (BI) Assistant Device tailored for use by Whole Sale Stores andRetail stores (such as vegetable, fruits, stationery, grocery)who utilizes the Point of Sale (POS) billing mechanism. The deviceinteracts with cloud-connected POS device via API and integrates agentic AI with a physical interface, providing multilingual voice interaction, graphical dashboard display, live data analysis and optional thermal printing capabilities. It autonomously retrieves, processes sales and inventory data from POS systems, enabling non-technical users to query and receive real-time insights. It also performs do stock alerts, summaries the stock of products, sales informationon-demand through audio interface and display the convincing dashboard."
