The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A smart food container (100) consists of a storage compartment (102) for holding food, secured by a lid (104) that ensures proper sealing and protection. An integrated array of cameras (106) communicates with the compartment (102) to capture images of the contents, while an array of sensors (108) works alongside the cameras (106) to measure key quality parameters such as freshness, temperature, or spoilage indicators. A processing unit (110) receives both the visual and sensor data, enabling analysis of the food items within the container. To enhance usability, the processing unit (110) is connected to a communication module (112), which transmits the analyzed information to external systems for user access. Additionally, the communication module (112) is coupled with a user interface (114), allowing users to view detailed information about the food items, their condition, and the operational status of the container (100), enabling interactive control and monitoring."
