MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511126661 A) filed by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana, on Dec. 15, 2025, for 'smart gas-based cooking system.'
Inventor(s) include Kavita Singh; Richa Adlakha; and Ashish Grover.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a smart gas-based cooking system comprising a command reception interface to receive dish-selection commands through voice, gesture, or remote communication. A sensor unit including gas, flame, temperature, and camera arrangements generates corresponding data during cooking. An actuation unit including a gas-flow control valve, ignition actuator, and audio-visual alert arrangement performs gas regulation, ignition, and alert functions. A microcontroller unit retrieves dish-specific parameters from memory, evaluates sensor data for safety, operates the actuation unit, monitors cooking progress, and performs automatic shut-off or emergency response. The system enables autonomous, safe, and accessible cooking for differently abled and elderly users."
