MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023912 A) filed by Gill Gurpreet Singh, New Delhi, on March 26, 2024, for 'smart luggage.'

Inventor(s) include Gill Ekamjot Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A smart luggage (3) comprises two tracks (4), spaced apart from each other, and parallel to each other, on a side of the luggage (2), the two tracks (4) comprise a train of wheels (5) to allow traversing of the luggage when engaged with a surface, characterized in that, the tracks (4) are pivoted, by means of first set of hinges (2), at one end and angularly displaceable, about this pivot (2) by extending, by means of second set hinges (6), its other end such that the other end is spaced apart from the luggage while the one end (2) remains close to the luggage."
