According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a Smart Sea Surveillance and Rescue System using ESP32 for enhancing safety in coastal and marine environments through real-time monitoring and automated alert mechanisms. The system integrates LiDAR sensing, ESP32-CAM, GPS, GSM, and a servo motor to continuously scan and monitor the surroundings. It detects objects using LiDAR based on the Time-of-Flight principle and classifies them into safe, warning, and danger zones depending on their distance. When an object enters the danger zone, the system automatically triggers alerts through a buzzer and sends SMS notifications via GSM along with real-time location coordinates obtained from the GPS module. Additionally, the ESP32-CAM captures images for visual verification, improving monitoring accuracy. The system is cost-effective, scalable, and capable of continuous real-time operation, making it suitable for applications such as beach safety, coastal surveillance, maritime security, and disaster management."
