The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A smart wearable band for asthma and respiratory health monitoring is disclosed. The wearable band comprises a physiological sensor cluster on an inner surface, an environmental sensor suite on an outer surface, a motion sensor, a microcontroller unit, a GPS location module, a wireless communication module, a rechargeable power source, a data storage unit and multi-modal visual, haptic and audio alert subsystems. The microcontroller unit acquires and processes hazardous gas, temperature, heart rate and related signals, classifies user states into normal, cautionary and emergency conditions and generates graded local alerts. Emergency reports containing hazard parameters and location are transmitted to external devices and supervisory systems, enabling adaptive, individual and community-level respiratory safety."
