MUMBAI, India, Jan. 3 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102901 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'smart wearable cervical posture detection and feedback system.'

The system (100) includes an inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor (102) incorporating accelerometers and gyroscopes, a microcontroller (104) executing a machine learning-based calibration algorithm, and a feedback module (106) for vibration, audio, or visual alerts upon posture deviation. A wireless communication unit (108) transmits data to a companion mobile application for visualization, analytics, and corrective guidance. The system (100) offers personalized calibration, adaptive thresholds, and ergonomic comfort through its lightweight design. It enhances cervical health, prevents musculoskeletal strain, and supports preventive care through continuous posture monitoring, making it ideal for medical, occupational, and personal use."
