MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018850 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'solid waste-based home decor manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Pradeep Kumar Shah.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A solid waste-based home decor manufacturing device, comprising a platform 1 installed with an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 3 for determining dimension of hub portion of a rim which is secured over platform 1 by two robotic arms 4, a circular shaped cutter 5 for cutting and separating hub from the rim, a motorized rotating blade 7 for cutting the rim in two halves which is placed in between a pair of curved members 9 assembled on the platform 1, a two axis sliding arrangement 10 arranged in between curved members 9 and platform 1 to slide members 9 over arrangement 10 to straighten rim, a motorized roller 11 rotates and unwraps LED strip light which is pasted on outer and inner surface of rim, thereby aiding the user to prepare a home decor from the rim."
