MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019423 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'solidified butter application assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A solidified butter application assistive device comprises of, a cylindrical hollow body 1 carved with an opening 2 to place solidified butter on a platform 3 configured in the body 1, a touch sensor for detecting presence of the butter on the platform 3, a motorized lid 4 to close to prevent any chances of contamination of the butter, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 for detecting dimensions of the butter, a pair of motorized sliders 6 for translating a pair of flaps 7, a pair of flaps 7 assembled with the sliders 6 for gripping the butter on the platform 3, a microphone 8 to give voice commands regarding an amount of the butter required by the user, a telescopically operated rod to extend for positioning the butter in contact with a plate, and a plate arranged at a top portion of the body 1 for collecting grated butter."
