MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010413 A) filed by Sumeet Kumar, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'speed limiter device.'

Inventor(s) include Sumeet Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a speed limiter device (101) for a vehicle (104). The device includes a centrifugal force sensing device (106) coupled to a rear wheel (102) of the vehicle, including a plurality of hammers (110a-110d) pivotally coupled to a central plate (112) and a plurality of springs (116a-116d) such that a first end the plurality of springs is coupled to the central plate (112), and a second end of the plurality of springs is coupled to the plurality of hammers (110a-110d). An angle sensing device (108) is coupled to the centrifugal force sensing device, including a retractable hammer (202) attached to a spring (204). The speed limiter device applies resistance to the rear wheel to limit its rotational speed when a centrifugal force sensed by the centrifugal force sensing device and a tilt angle sensed by the angle sensing device are greater than first and second predetermined thresholds, respectively."
