MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517023629 A) filed by Nippon Plarad Co., Hyogo, Japan, on March 17, for 'square washer and fastening structure.'
Inventor(s) include Saeki Hiroshi.
The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[Problem] To prevent by means of a simple configuration unintended rotation of a square washer induced by another member. [Solution] This square washer is used in a state of being sandwiched between an attachment surface Sa of an attachment subject S and a nut 2 or the head of a bolt. A washer body 1A has a polygonal shape when viewed from a direction orthogonal to the surface facing a nut 2, and a central concave portion 1Aa is formed on the side facing the attachment surface Sa. The outer shape of the central concave portion 1Aa is formed so as to be the same as that of the nut 2 or the head of the bolt, or so as to be larger than the outer shape of the nut 2 or the head of the bolt, and the washer body 1A has elasticity such that a central portion of the washer body 1A is displaced toward the attachment surface Sa when fastened by the nut 2 or the head of the bolt."
The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 16, 2022, under International application No.PCT/JP2022/034669.
