MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018412 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'stability augmentation system for roll rate stabilization of an aircraft.'
Inventor(s) include Vibhu Singh; and Anubhav Garg.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Stability, control & handling characteristics becomes paramount in a deep penetrating attack aircraft especially during weapon deliveries at low altitude which results in sudden reduction of overall aircraft mass and in turn shift in the centre of gravity of the aircraft which may leads to instability and may cause an accident. A "Stability Augmentation System" (300) is therefore deployed in the aircraft which is meant for providing additional stability to the aircraft. This patent covers about a -stability augmentation along the Rolling Axis (longitudinal axis) of a deep penetrating attack aircraft."
