MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517065836 A) filed by Gates Corporation, Denver, U.S.A., on July 10, for 'stacked sprocket and pulley.'

Inventor(s) include Cash, Bret; and Alvis, Wesley.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "To obtain maximum performance and decrease the overall production and design cost application-specific stacked sprockets and stacked pulleys may be utilized. A stacked sprocket may be manufactured utilizing low-cost manufacturing methods and low-cost sheet or plate material over a solid billet. The modularity of a stacked sprocket allows for easy design changes during the production of the stacked sprocket or pulley. The construction of the stacked sprocket and pulley is individually cut plates stacked together and sandwiched by a rivet, bolt, or the like. The plates are stacked and sandwiched together to form a complete sprocket or pulley."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 18, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/084518.
