MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058549 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on June 18, for 'steel sheet and plated steel sheet.'
Inventor(s) include Mitsunobu, Takuya; Furukawa, Noriyuki; Oke, Takashi; and Takebayashi, Hiroshi.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention addresses the problem of providing a steel sheet and a plated steel sheet each having high LME resistance. Each of the steel sheet and the plated steel sheet according to the present invention is characterized by having specified chemical components, and is also characterized in that the depth at which the C concentration measured by GDS is 0.01% or less is 3 m or more when observed in the depth direction from the surface of the steel sheet, the thickness of a layer in which the area ratio of cementite is 10% or less is 5 m or more when observed in the depth direction from the surface of the steel sheet, and the steel sheet has such surface roughness that the arithmetic average roughness Ra is 3.0 m or less."
