MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087705 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'stove knob operating device.'

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A stove knob operating device, comprising a cylindrical body 1 installed with a circular plate 2 accommodated over a knob of a stove, a T-shaped extendable handle 3 attached with the body 1 for handling body 1, an ultrasonic sensor mapped on handle 3 for detecting dimensions of user's hand, a camera 4 mounted on body 1 for capturing multiple images of knob, multiple pneumatic pins 5 configured with plate 2 to extend/retract for gripping knob between pins 5 securely, a microphone 6 mapped on body 1 for enabling a user to give commands regarding direction in which knob is rotated, an intermittent rotation arrangement 7 to rotate plate 2 for rotating the knob, a telescopically operated gripper 8 installed with body 1 for picking and squeezing food items and a pressure sensor configured with gripper 8 for detecting pressure applied by gripper 8 for squeezing food item."
