MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023594 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'stuck tapping tool bit removal device for workpiece.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashutosh Sharma; and Dr. Satendra Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A stuck tapping tool bit removal device for workpiece, comprising a T-shaped body 1 constructed with a rod 3 perpendicularly attached with a bar 2, aligned over a tapping tool bit stuck in a workpiece, a microphone 4 receives commands for removing bit from workpiece, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 detects orientation of bit, a laser projection unit 6 guides user in accurately aligning a disc 7 over bit, plurality of telescopically operated members 9 extend and engage in slots carved over bit, a BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) electric motor rotates disc 7 for pulling out bit from workpiece, and an electronic nozzle 11 for dispensing oil to lubricate bit, in view of facilitating removal of bit from workpiece."
