MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010368 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 31, for 'student harassment reporting and emergency response system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A student harassment reporting and emergency response system, comprising of a booth 101, a multimodal biometric authentication arrangement to verify an individual's identity at the booth 101 entry, a sound proofing arrangement to limit conversation within the booth 101, a second camera 110 to scan the student's body and facial expressions, a vertical plate with a cushion pad to support a student's back, a microphone to detect and analyse the student's voice, a speaker module 112 to transmit empathetic verbal cues and grounding statements to the student in case of signs of extreme distress or excessive crying through facial expression analysis, a communication module to transmit data to a server, and a processing module embedded to give a comprehensive report containing the student's testimony, forensic injury photos, and video evidence and transmits the report to authorized campus personnel."
