MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411001548 A) filed by Mankind Pharma Ltd., New Delhi, on Jan. 9, 2024, for 'suppository compositions of euphorbia prostrata.'
Inventor(s) include Margam, Pradeep; Karthikeyan, V; Muthulingam, Chithambaram; and Kumar, Anil.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a suppository composition comprising Euphorbia Prostrata, one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, wherein said composition is suitable for the treatment of haemorrhoids, haemorrhoids during pregnancy, anal fissures, anal fistula, and varicose veins. Further, the present invention also relates to the process of preparation of said composition."
