MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025485 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'surface cleaning assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Chamkaur Singh; Dr. Chhinder Kaur; Shivam; and Vishal Thakur.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A surface cleaning assistive device comprising of a cuboidal body 1 attached with a pair of straps 3 to be strapped around the shoulders of a user to secure the body 1 with back portion of the user, a touch enabled screen 2 for enabling a user to give input commands for cleaning a fixed surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 to detect exact location of stains on the surface, a laser projection unit 7 to project a laser beam to guide the user in aligning ring 4 over the stains, multiple electronic nozzles 12 to dispense the cleaning solution, a motorized brush for removing the stains, multiple electronic valves 9 to rinse the surface, a color sensor for detecting the stains, and a tactile sensor for detecting hardness of the surface."
