MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024822 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'surface marking assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Aaruni; Dr. Neha Singh; Nishant Thapa; and Khushbir Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A surface marking assistive device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 crafted with handle 2 gripped by user, a display panel 3 to provide input regrading a color of marking to be made over surface, plurality to rollers 4 wrapped with a thread 5 that passes through a specific section of multi-sectioned chamber 6 stored with various types of colors to apply color thread 5 with colors, plurality of curved links 7 by a motorized hinge joint 8 to provide rotation to link, a conical member 9 having a pair of motorized pop out links 10 unit to accommodate thread 5 within links 7, a plate 11 is connected with thread 5 that protrudes out of body 1 via an opening 12 to thread 5 soaked in user-specified color and pull out soaked thread 5 attach at a starting point over surface from which the marking is to be made."
