MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517057744 A) filed by Kuraray Co. Ltd., Okayama, Japan, on June 16, for 'surface-modified fibers, method for producing same, and molded article using surface-modified fibers.'
Inventor(s) include Ishida Eiichi; and Washitake Yosuke.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are surface-modified fibers comprising fibers and a surface-modified layer covering at least a portion of the surface of the fibers, the surface-modified fibers being characterized in that the surface-modified layer contains a compound having hydrogen-bonding functional groups and that the amount of this surface-modified layer is 0.01 to 2.5 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of fibers used as a starting material."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/045643.
