MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019825 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'surfboard accessory holder device.'

Inventor(s) include Sanjay Kumar Jena.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A surfboard accessory holder device, comprising a rectangular base 101 having multiple suction units 102 installed at a bottom surface of base 101 for affixing base 101 onto a surfboard surface, a rectangular plate 103 attached perpendicularly with each edge of base 101, each of base 101 is configured with a drawer mechanism for holding of accessories of varying heights, a grid of motorized pop-out balls 104 embedded on an upper surface of base 101 for shifting of accessories placed on base 101, an imaging unit 105, in synchronization with a proximity sensor embedded on base 101, installed on base 101, to determine an accessory placed in base 101 by user, two telescopic grippers 106 provided on base 101 via ball and socket joints to grip onto edges of surfboard to prevent a dislocation of base 101 from surfboard, if detected orientation is outside a predetermined angular range."
