MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074924 A) filed by Kyb Motorcycle Suspension Co. Ltd., Gifu, Japan, on Aug. 6, for 'suspension device and rear cushion unit.'

Inventor(s) include Mochizuki Takahisa.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A suspension device (S) according to the present invention is provided with: a suspension spring (30) that supports a vehicle body (F) of a vehicle (M); a movable spring seat (31) that supports one end of the suspension spring (30) and is displaceable in the direction in which the suspension spring (30) expands and contracts; a housing (32) that forms a pressure chamber (P) in which a liquid is contained between the housing (32) and the movable spring seat (31), the housing (32) allowing for movement of the movable spring seat (31) in the direction in which the suspension spring (30) expands and contracts; a stopper (33) that, when the pressure chamber (P) is maximized by the movement of the movable spring seat (31) toward the suspension spring side relative to the housing (32), prevents further movement of the movable spring seat (31) toward the suspension spring side; and an elastic pressurization means (34) that can pressurize the inside of the pressure chamber (P) with elastic force and can adjust the elastic force."
