MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087962 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'swingarm of a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Prasoon, Jeevesh; and Choudhari, Nitin Kisan.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a swingarm (140) of a vehicle (100). The swingarm (140) includes a connecting element (222), a first arm (224) extends forwardly from the connecting element (222) to the engine crankcase (142), a second arm (226) extends forwardly and upwardly from the connecting element (222) to the engine crankcase (142), and a third arm (228) extends rearwardly and upwardly from the connecting element (222). The first arm (224) includes a first mounting element (234) adapted to be mounted to an engine crankcase (142). The second arm (226) includes a second mounting element (242) adapted to be mounted to the engine crankcase (142). The third arm (228) includes a third mounting element (248) adapted to be connected to a rear suspension member (144). The mounting position of the first mounting element (234), the second mounting element (242), and the third mounting element (248) are coplanar."
