MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541060063 A) filed by The Principal Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, on June 24, for 'synthesis of phase pure cd0.5ni0.5tio3ceramic via optimized solid state reaction method.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. C. Senthilkumar; and Dr. F. Winfred Shashikanth.
The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a novel method for synthesizing phase-pure Cdo.sNiojTiCh (cadmium nickel titanate) ceramics using a solid-state reaction route. The invention provides a cost-effective, scalable method involving calcination at 900 K. for 10 hours to eliminate the formation of secondary TiC>2 phases commonly encountered in this material system. The resulting compound exhibits improved phase purity, which is crucial for applications in electronic, dielectric, and multiferroic devices. The invention further claims the optimized process conditions for reproducible and stable material synthesis."
