Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Synthesis Of Sulfoximine Compounds Having A Stereogenic Sulfur Atom' Filed by Syngenta Crop Protection Ag

MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056642 A) filed by Syngenta Crop Protection Ag, Basel, Switzerland, on June 12, for 'synthesis of sulfoximine compounds having a stereogenic sulfur atom.'

Inventor(s) include Williams, Simon; and Smits, Helmars.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A process for the preparation of compound of formula (I) which process comprises: (A) stereoselectively oxidizing a sulfanyl compound of formula (II) followed by (B) stereospecific imination of a sulfinyl compound of formula (III) is disclosed wherein the substituents are as defined in claim 1."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 07, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/084776.
