MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441011697 A) filed by TVS Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 20, 2024, for 'system and method for actuating lamp unit of a vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "System and Method for Actuating Lamp Unit of a vehicle Present invention generally relates to a system (100) for actuating a lamp unit (106) of a vehicle. The system (100) comprises a control unit (102) disposed in the vehicle and the control unit (102) is adapted to receive information pertaining to one or more vehicle parameters from one or more sensors (104). The control unit (102) is configured to determine the one or more vehicle parameters based on information provided by the one or more sensors (104). The control unit (102) operates the lamp unit (106) for illumination when the one or more vehicle parameters is beyond a threshold value. The system (100) is configured to illuminate the lamp unit (106) during deceleration of the vehicle in cruise control mode, thereby enhancing safety of rider and/or passengers in the vehicle."
