MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311086054 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 16, 2023, for 'system and method for adjusting a flexible mirror assembly to adjust field-of-view for users.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system for adjusting a Field of View (FOV) for user visibility. The system (102) includes a flexible mirror assembly (300B) that includes a first holder (302A) and a second holder (302B), where each first holder (302A) and second holder (302B) includes a groove on an inner portion, and a connecting member (304A, 304B) on an outer portion, a support structure (308) attached on one side of a flexible base (306), a reflection sheet (310) attached on another side of the flexible base (306), where the reflection sheet (310) and the flexible base (306) are fitted into the groove of each first holder (302A) and second holder (302B), and link members (312A, 312B) interlocked with the connecting member (304A, 304B), where each link members (312A, 312B) is being pulled in a backward direction to adjust the FOV for the user."
