MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611010328 A) filed by Belectriq Mobility Pvt. Ltd., Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Jan. 31, for 'system and method for determining variable charging prices for charging sessions of electric-vehicles.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system for determining a variable charging price for a charging session of an electric vehicle. The system comprises a charging unit. The charging unit comprises a charging connector configured to initiate the charging session with the electric vehicle and to obtain at least one charging parameter associated with the charging session. The system also comprises a communication interface coupled to the charging unit to transmit the at least one charging parameter. Further, the system comprises a processing module. The processing module is configured to receive the at least one charging parameter from the charging unit via the communication interface. The processing module is further configured to process the at least one charging parameter to determine the variable charging price for the charging session. Moreover, the processing module is configured to control application of the variable charging price to the charging session."
