MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087270 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'system and method for issuing alert about dead zones based on interaction with key fob.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for issuing alert about dead zones. It involves, checking, at block 502, whether unlock is successful and key fob is inside vehicle. If so, then at block 504, collecting data from the key fob, and at block 506, checking for missing pair of data. If the pair is found then, at block 508, the data is sent to the vehicle. At block 512, it involves checking whether an engine of the vehicle 110 is off. If so, then at block 514, it is confirmed whether the current geographical coordinates of the vehicle fall in active dead-zone list, and correspondingly upon confirmation, at block 516, the user is alerted."
