MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511109649 A) filed by Xpectro Solutions (OPC) Private Limited, Rewari, Haryana, on Nov. 11, 2025, for 'system and method for multi-dimensional phishing detection and pre-click alerting system.'
Inventor(s) include Goel, Shalini; and Malhotra, Mohak.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a cross-platform phishing detection system (100) analyzing messages, images, files, and URLs across SMS, email, social media, and web platforms through three parameters: sender reputation, message content, and URL characteristics. The system (100) implements a hybrid weighted detection model architecture (112) combining machine learning models (114) at fifty-five percent weight, programmed rules (116) at twenty-five percent weight, and critical patterns (118) at twenty percent weight for zero-day threats. A five-component weighted ensemble model (120) performs URL and domain analysis comprising URL pattern analysis, domain analysis, structural entropy analysis, parameter behavior analysis, and character obfuscation analysis. The system (100) comprises image-based threat detection through QR code scanning, optical character recognition, steganography detection, and metadata examination. A pre-click alerting mechanism (110) provides real-time warnings blocking suspicious links before user interaction, while a link unwrapping mechanism (132) exposes hidden destination URLs concealed through URL shortening services and redirect chains."
