MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641050910 A) filed by Meenakshi Academy Of Higher Education And Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 21, for 'system and method for personalized disease prediction and treatment optimization using digital twin modeling.'
Inventor(s) include Prathiba S; Jerose Rani D; Malar Kodi K; Regi Cindrella M; Gowthami Priyadharshini; Kalpana P; Divya S; Sunitha Devi M; Subbulakshmi V; and Nikita Ravi.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application discloses a system and method for real-time multi-modal patient monitoring and predictive clinical intervention by employing digital twin technology and continuous physiological data analytics. The system includes a number of sensors designed for continuous collection of physiological and contextual data, a preprocessing and data fusion block that creates a coherent dataset, and a digital twin modeling engine used for creating and dynamically updating a patient's digital twin. Predictive analytics is applied for deviation detection and predicting the likelihood of health problems. A treatment simulation and optimization component evaluates several treatment options and produces an optimal treatment output. Alert generation and recommendation unit creates alerts and recommends a course of action based on predictions about the patient's state. Finally, the system features a communication interface, facilitating safe exchange of information, alerts, and notifications between different devices and external healthcare platforms."
