MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421005653 A) filed by Jagtap Ramanand Namdeo; Potdar Shubham Pradeep; and Rathod Rahul Vinod, Maharashtra, on Jan. 29, 2024, for 'system and method of paints for vertical surface coating of high-rise buildings.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides self-spreading water thinned pourable paint by the addition of suitable additives, most appropriate for the high-rise building's exterior vertical walls. In this methodology, self-spreading water-borne architectural paint was formulated to amend its rheological properties with combination of additives such as drag reducing polymers, coalescing agents etc. Additive dosage combined were in the range of 0-10 wt.%. During the application the modified water based architectural paint was discharged from a container having an appropriate design geometry and release rate from the top of the vertical wall for quick and uniform coating."
