MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441023003 A) filed by Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd., Mangalore, Karnataka, on March 23, 2024, for 'system and process for the treatment of an off-gas stream.'

Inventor(s) include Ramalingam, Karthick; Thomas, Alphy; Shakeib, Mohammed; Hegde, Pramod Kumar; Bhat, Manjunatha Megur Ganesh; Pillai, Nandakumar Velayudhan; and Hanakere, Sathyanarayana Channaiah.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system and a process for the treatment of an off-gas stream. The system and the process of the present disclosure can process an off-gas stream from various processes and can reduce the concentration of the odorant compound to less than 1 ppm. The system of the present disclosure is simple, cost-effective, and safe to operate. The system of the present disclosure has a compact design, and hence easy to handle. The process of the present disclosure is simple to perform, cost-effective and environment friendly."
