MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521126286 A) filed by Ganpat University, Mehsana, Gujarat, on Dec. 13, 2025, for 'system for generating renewable electrical energy from solid garbage wastes and method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Prajvinsinh Ajaysinh Champavat.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a system and method comprising a waste collecting unit (1) for the collection of solid wastes before being directed to a combustion chamber (2) for incineration under high temperature conditions, producing thermal energy and gaseous smoke. The thermal energy is transferred to an electrical energy generation unit (2.1), where a thermoelectric converter (3) with thermal interface materials, directly converts the thermal energy into electrical energy, a rechargeable battery (4) via battery management unit for storage, a heating sensor (6) for detecting input voltage stored in the battery (4) and display the output in a measurement unit (6.1). The gaseous smoke is passed in a carbon residue unit (2.2) connected with a smoke filtration unit (7) and a cooling unit (8) to capture carbon emissions and yield reusable carbon by-products."
