MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511060328 A) filed by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute Of Technology, Jalandhar, Punjab, on June 24, for 'system for monitoring and reporting facial spoofing.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system (100) for monitoring and reporting facial spoofing, comprises: an input module (102) configured to store one or more preprocessed images of different facial structures; an artificial intelligence (AI) module (104) is configured to: receive a dataset containing the one or more images, analyse the dataset using at least one AI/ML model, and train the at least one AI/ML model. a processor (106) is configured to: receive one or more images of a user in real-time through a biometric device (108), analyse, via the AI module (104) the one or more images, extract discriminant features from the one or more images, using the at least one AI/ML model, and determine a facial spoofing event, using the at least one AI/ML model; and an alarming device (110) is configured to generate an alert regarding the facial spoofing event."
