According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The conveyors belts are responsible for transportation of material from one location to another making the role of conveyor belts very vital. Due to the complicated force conditions of the conveyor belt, it is very prone to failures such as tearing, deviation, and surface damage, which poses serious threats to the safe and efficient production of enterprises. Monitoring the health of conveyor belts by human involvement is a very tedious and difficult task owing to spread and approach of conveyor belts. The system for online health monitoring of running conveyor belts facilitates man-less monitoring of conveyor belts during operation and prevents unplanned breakdowns of the conveyor system. This system eliminates production delays and ensures preventive maintenance of conveyor belts along with available planned shutdowns."
