Inventor(s) include Saraswathi D; Pandiyaraju V; Nivesh M; Ilampooranan T K; and Rathnavathi. S.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses a system (102) and a method (200) for recording an attendance entry of a user. The attendance system (102) includes an image acquisition unit (104) that captures one or more images of a user. A processor (106) is operatively coupled with the image acquisition unit (104) and includes a memory (108) storing a set of executable instructions. The processor (106) receives the captured one or more images and processes them using a deep learning-based face embedding model (106-2) to extract one or more facial features. The extracted features are compared by a data export model (106-3) with one or more prestored datasets to determine a match. Upon identification of the match, the processor (106) records an attendance entry for the user. The system (102) enables automated and accurate attendance logging based on real-time image capture and processing using facial recognition techniques."
