According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The various embodiments of the present invention provide a system for spring loaded locking mechanism for jewelry. The system comprises a clasping piece, protrusion element, clasping piece, locking mechanism, push button, spring, locking mechanism and linking unit. The clasping piece and the protrusion element are inserted in through an aperture and interlock with the locking mechanism in the clasping piece. The locking mechanism comprises a locking unit that interlocks with the groove in the protrusion element. The locking mechanism is designed to be operated in a plurality of configurations including a lever back configuration and push button configuration. A loaded spring is designed to interact with the button that disengages the locking unit from the groove of the protrusion element and enables the returning of the locking unit back to its original position after the force on the push button is released."
