MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010135 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 30, for 'system for vehicle servicing.'
Inventor(s) include Basika Abhilash; Vishu Vardhan Reddy; Simrin Fathima Syed; Dr. Madhu Shukla; Vipul Ladva; Akshay Ranpariya; and Neel Dholakia.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system for vehicle servicing, comprises of a platform 101 to receive and support a vehicle, a plurality of motorized wheel clamps 102, each wheel clamp 102 is coupled with an AI-enabled camera 103 to determine vehicle dimensions, wheel positioning, to securely clamp 102 the vehicle during servicing operations, a plurality of segmented sliding plates 104 to slide and form a hollow working area, an inspection unit 105 via a pantograph arrangement 106, to detect defects, wear conditions, an articulated robotic linkage 107 via linear sliding rails 108, to perform vehicle servicing operations, an oil management unit 111 to generate an oil condition report and maintenance recommendations, a rodent intrusion detection and mitigation unit to track rodent movement and enable live capture and an augmented-reality holographic projection unit 116 to display real-time servicing status and prioritized alerts after validating vehicle ownership or authorized access."
