MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517068781 A) filed by Universal City Studios Llc, Universal City, U.S.A., on July 18, for 'systems and methods for a dry steam special effect.'

Inventor(s) include Gordon, Michael; and Rossett, Matthew Robert.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A special effect system 50 may include a steam generator 52, a reheater 60, and a steam separator 61 configured to generate dry steam. The steam generator 52 is coupled to a show element 54 comprising a one or more compartments 58. Steam from the steam generator 52 passes through the reheater 60 and the steam separator 61 before entering the one or more compartments 58 such that condensate is removed and cooling of the steam within the system 50 between the steam generator 52 and the show element 54 is remedied."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/014500.
