MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517085160 A) filed by Universal City Studios Llc, Universal City, U.S.A., on Sept. 8, for 'systems and methods for an interactive augmented reality kiosk.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A show effect system 56 of an amusement park may include an enclosure 80, an interaction space 58 within the enclosure 80, where the interaction space 58 receives an object 62 from outside of the enclosure 80, and a display system 66 that presents imagery. The show effect system 56 may also include a beam splitter 68 positioned to enable visibility, from a viewing portion 60, into the interaction space 58 through the beam splitter 68 and of the virtual image via reflection off the beam splitter 68. A sensor 64 of the show effect system 56 may monitor the interaction space 58 and provide sensor data related to the object 62 within the interaction space 58. One or more controllers 74 of the show effect system 56 may be communicatively coupled to the sensor 64 and the display system 66 and may perform operations including determining one or more parameters of the object 62 based on the sensor data and generating image data based on the parameter of the object 62."
